Dear Staats-Anzeiger:

Very rarely are there reports from here, so I decided to write a bit about the results of our harvest here.

We were quite fortunate this year and people who worked hard had a good harvest. People who worked poorly had a poor harvest. So the results differ greatly, between 5 and 20 bushels per acre in wheat, between 20 and 35 bushels of oats per acre and 1 to 9 bushels of flax per acre. The grain prices are not high, but thank God for this harvest!

I read in #15 of this paper, a letter signed by E. Bauer (A Farmer) of Krasna. Keep up the good work; the truth must get out!

(*Publisher: We are in receipt of the $5.50 for your subscription and the subscription for Joseph Blotzki. Per your wish your wall maps will be mailed to you promptly. Thanks for the new reader! )

I will write more frequently, if my scribbles don't get tossed out. (*Publisher: Please do write!)

Greetings to the publisher and the readers of the paper.

Sincerely,
Nikolaus Kahl
