On 2 January, we had an election for mayor. Alois Müller is mayor and the assessors are Johannes Bolitzky and Anton Fentrich. On the 3rd, we had elections for church elders. Elected as such were Phillip Haak, Kaspar Furch and A. Ternes. I wish all of them good luck in office.
Today, 7 January, the blessing of homes begins. The blessing could not be done with a lot of families because first, dancing took place in their homes between Christmas and the Three Holy Kings Feast, and second, some homeowners still have debts to pay on their belongings. These also will not be blessed.
I am very happy that my brother-in-law, Michael Müller, is also a reader of this paper. Dear brother-in-law, write always and eagerly, because all of us here like to read news from America.
A greeting to brother-in-law Ignatz and sister Agatha. How is it going with old Uncle Blasius Müller, from whom one doesn’t hear anything anymore? Greetings also to Valentin Ritz and Peter Leinz in Krasna, South Russia. Are they not readers of the newspaper? (*Editor: The newspaper still was sent to Valentin Ritz, but his subscription expired recently. Since a renewal did not occur, we will cancel his name this week. Peter Leinz is not a subscriber, however, Gottlieb and Johannes Leinz are.)
Then also a hello to E. Bauer in Krasna, South Russia. Although, we do not know his name, we like very much to read his correspondence.
Greetings to all,
Romanus Bogalofsky.

In Issue #21 of the newspaper, Blasius Müller in Canada wanted to know if I am related to Michael and A. Miller. I do not know these gentlemen. I do know Magnus G. Miller and A.G. Miller, both sons of Christian. One lives in Saskatchewan, and the other in Alberta, Canada. I am related to them. I believe that Mr. Blasius Müller will now get on the right track.
I would like to have the addresses of Siegfried Bachmeier who resides somewhere in Canada. Maybe the readers could help me if he is not a reader of the paper.
I wonder if the above mentioned two Miller friends of mine forgot how to write, because I do not receive any letters anymore?
I also enjoyed the correspondence in Edition #24 of the paper by Valentin Herrschaft from Krasna, South Russia. Keep on writing dear friends!
Greetings to everyone.
