Worthy Staats-Anzeiger!

I am back home again, and I can move around a little in the yard. In the beginning of the month in the St. Alexius Hospital, I underwent an appendectomy, which proceeded very well. I feel all right now and I am happy to be healthy again. I was also satisfied with the care that I was given in the hospital. In a situation like that, you lose a lot of money. But what is money good for, if you are not healthy.

I am greeting my friend Anton Kraft in Tunbridge, N. D. I would like very much to have him visit me.

My brother Konrad has returned again from his trip to St. Paul. He said that down there it is not as dry as in North Dakota.

Now I also say hello to Philipp Schwartz in Selz, as well as to all my friends in South Dakota and Montana.

Respectfully,
Jakob Becker
