Worthy Editorship!

I am cordially asking the editorship to help me find my Uncle Leonhart Ferner. He immigrated 25 years ago to Dakota. He used to be a landowner in Russia. I am his nephew Leonhart Uwiera from Russia now living here in Emmental, Bessarabia and I am in a bad situation.

I had to flee from the Bolshevists. I had been with the “White Guard” since 1917 fighting the Bolshevists. My rank is First Lieutenant. When we scattered, I traveled through Poland, Germany, France and other Western states and landed at first in Czechoslovakia, and later here in Emmental, Bessarabia. That is the reason why I have to urgently ask my uncle, whose address I forgot, to help me in my despair since for quite a while now I have had no money and no job, and I am depending on strangers to survive.

There are also other relatives living in Dakota. Their addresses are unknown to me also. These relatives are Benedikt Ferner and Joseph Scherger. Hopefully I will soon hear from these people and fulfill my request.

Respectfully,
Leonhart Uwiera
