Letter to Editor: Raleigh, Grant County, ND 16 January 1925

Dear Editor:

Enclosed please find $4.00 for his annual subscription from Sam Ihli near Raleigh for the years 1924 and 1925. Dear gentlemen, don’t get upset because I am sending money again.

And you, dear friend Emil Kopp, you are expecting me to write, although you know quite well that I am not as educated as you are with high school education and all. How do you expect me to be a newspaper writer! You, Emil, have practiced your writing and letters in high school and should be an expert writer. So why don’t you write a report to this nice paper once in a while? You should help out. You know, you just don’t want to! And that, dear Emil is not very nice of you. And now, Emil, guess when we are going to cut willows?

Farmer’s greetings,
Ignatz Gross
