Letter to the Editor: Raleigh, Grant County, ND
January 1925
Dear Nordlich:
Continuation of the story about the sanitarium visit in Schlirf.
The poor visitor gets himself together, goes into the bushes and buries his soiled underwear. He cleans himself up as best he can and returns to his room to change.
On his way to encounters his buddy, Moder, who begins to laugh when the author greets him. Turning around, he finds his dog, Sport, proudly carrying the soiled underpants.
Red with humiliation, the pharmacist races to his room, calls for his bill and catches the first train home. He is so mad at his dog that he wonβt smuggle him into the compartment, but places him in the dog box.
