Honored Mr. Editor!
I am asking you to be so kind and accept the following lines into the columns of the valued paper.
Elisabetha Erker from Krasna, who in two years hasn’t heard anything from her relatives in America, would like to find out through the Staats-Anzeiger, which is read everywhere, if they are still alive.
The relatives are Peter Loeb near Raleigh, North Dakota as well as Christian Dressler near Raleigh, North Dakota. She feels shunned because her American friends don’t want to have anything to do with her.
She has been suffering for a year. She became ill with incurable consumption of the bones. This malady ties her to her bed and causes her endless pain.
In the midst of all the misery she often longs for her brother Christian and her other friends.
In case the aforementioned are still alive, they are being asked to write to their sick sister and sister-in-law.
With a greeting,
Elisabetha Erker
