Dear Staats-Anzeiger!
Since my subscription has expired, I will send the money to the editor so that I won’t miss any papers. I will also send a payment for a new reader, namely Eugenius Seifert. His brother Peter Seifert ordered the Staats-Anzeiger through me as a Christmas present with the request for his brother Eugenius to report from the old hometown Emmental on and off, especially since the other correspondents are a little lazy in writing. (*Editor: We received the money. The paper was sent immediately, and also the calendar was sent to the new reader and to you.)
Several young couples were married.
Johannes Fischer married Lingata Baumann, daughter of Jakob.
Johannes Ruehl married Elisabetha Moldenhauer, daughter of Jakob and Christina Moldenhauer.
The following guests came to the wedding celebration from out of town, namely Daniel and Mrs. Rosa Huether, Dionysius and Mrs. Amalia Wingenbach, Jakob and Mrs. Klara Mueller. The weddings were very joyful.
Mrs. Rochus Seifert had a bad leg, for which she was operated on. The leg was put in a cast and she has to use crutches for six months. It is not dangerous and we hope that Mrs. Seifert will soon be well again. They send greetings to their mother and all friends in the old homeland.
I am greeting everyone here and there.
Egidius and Mrs. Natalia Folk
