Dear Staats-Anzeiger!

First of all, I want to let my brother-in-law Jakob Kiefer and his wife Barbara in Malcoci, Rumania know that we have already written several letters to them, but we have never received an answer yet. Thus, we have assumed that our letters were lost.

Further, we have to tell you that Katharina Tuchscherer passed away on 25 November 1928. May she rest in peace! Her husband Heinrich Tuchscherer is be ridden with a serious illness. May God restore his health!

The seedlings here are in good condition and so far we are again hoping for a good harvest.

I am enclosing $3.50 for the editor for the renewal of the newspaper for another year. (*Editor: We received the money. The calendar was mailed right away. We thank you and we greet you.)

I greet the editorship and the fellow readers.

Karl L. Tuchscherer
