Dear Staats-Anzeiger!

After completion of this work, we will pack up our belongings and move to the state of Rio Grande do Sul. Our father Kaspar Weber also resides there. He has asked us four times already to move there. Brother-in-law Anselmus Wagner and his family will also move there with us. We will start our journey on 1 October. We hope to arrive happily at our destination. Five years have already gone by since we last saw our parents. Therefore, the joy of our reunion will be enormous.

A cute little daughter was born to the Peter Herrschaft’s. Mother and child are doing well. An heir was also born to the family of our neighbor Erasmus Herbura. Mother and child are healthy.

On the sick list is Wendelin Paul. He is seriously ill. We hope that he will soon be well.

We send a friendly hello to Mrs. Anna Moldenhauer in Canada. We love to read her reports so keep on writing diligently.

Further, we greet the correspondents in Emmental and Krasna, Bessarabia. We sincerely ask them to write often from the old homeland in the Staats-Anzeiger. We are always anxious to read news articles from those regions.

With a greeting,
Anton and Genofeva Weber
