Dear Staats-Anzeiger!
The health conditions are satisfactory. People who are weak from old age and the ones with consumption are the only ones sick. The 18-year old Theresia Koch, daughter of Sebastian Koch recently died from that disease. This serves to inform Joachim Koch in Shields, North Dakota, as well as the other friends. Now and then a child will also die. It seems as if people long for better times to be dying.
Everything else here is routine. Baptisms in church take place only twice a week and yet every time 4 to 5 children are baptized.
There is also no shortage of weddings this fall. Today Korbinian Engel, son of Simon Engel married Klara Mueller, daughter of Anton Mueller, son of Lorenz.
Marriage announcements were made for Joseph Riehl, son of Joseph and Klara Dirk, daughter of Franz; Otto Schreiber, son of Erasmus and Theresia Ternes, daughter of Hyronimus; a son of Martin Krams and the daughter of the deceased Heinrich Riehl; a son of Thomas Volk and the daughter of Zachaeus Dirk; Adam Leintz, son of Kaspar Leintz and Legatia Haag, daughter of Maximilian Haag. A little while back Lambert Kopp, son of Karl married Katharina Riehl, daughter of Reinhold.
Greetings to everyone,
Isidor Leinz
