It is late, but God willing, we may get a harvest now that it has rained and people are taking care of their winter crops.
The widow Marianna Bachmeier nee Müller has died here on November 26 at the age of 64. This message to Johannes Müller in Mondebela [Montebello], Brazil. She was his aunt. May God grant her eternal peace.
Weddings: Joseph (Seppel), the son of the late Joseph Riehl and Klara Dirk, daughter of Franz. – Bernhard Wingenbach, son of Albert and Erbelie Krams, daughter of Joseph. – Johannes Folk, son of Jakob and Theresia Soehn, daughter of the late Anton. – Plasius [Blasius] Ihli, son of Klemens and Dorothea Riehl, daughter of the war-dead Peter Riehl. Much luck to the new couples.
Ambrosius Leinz sends greetings to his brother Thomas Leinz and family in Dodge, North Dakota. He wants them to know that he and his family are well. He also sends his greetings to his siblings’ children Felix Leinz in Brisbane, North Dakota and Max Leinz in Selfridge, North Dakota. He asks they please write a letter, as he has not heard from them in over a year. He sends his thanks in advance.
Mr. Sebastian Koch had 45 Pud of feathers and wool stolen from his attic. The thief left no trace. The rope was found at Samuel Janz’s and he is now incarcerated in Akkermann.
I read in the Bessarabian German news that Stalin was murdered or shot in Moscow. Is it true? If this were true, the world would rejoice, especially our fellow countrymen. (*Editor: This news item made the American Press, but was denounced. It is rumored that it was just a fight and that Stalin won.)
The Krasna community is trying to solve the problem of the community grazing land. Some want to plow it and others do not.
