Esteemed Staats Anzeiger!
The weather was ideal until now and therefore a lot of winter wheat was planted which has come along very well. However, now cold and stormy days and nights come about frequently, reminding us that severe winter could soon arrive.
Overall the health in town is satisfactory, but nevertheless we have to record several deaths, namely:
Georg Schreiber, son of Joseph, who died of a stroke;
Peter Volk;
Gottfried Bagolowki (Pohle Gottfried);
Heinrich Schulgowski, as a result of blood poisoning;
Rophina Bachmeier nee Hein, wife of Peter F.Bachmeier, died after giving birth;
and tomorrow, Gertruda Ternes nee Alwinger will be taken to her grave.
May this serve as an obituary notice to Joseph and Klara Mueller in Canada.
May they rest in peace!

Dear Staats-Anzeiger!
Since I have some time right now, I want to write a few lines to the paper and thank the editor Mr. Brandt for the big calendar for 1932, in which there are beautiful pictures and many stories to read. You can also tell when the holidays are and many more interesting things.
Isidor Leinz is asking Markus Ternes if he received the insured letter with the 100 leis for the widow Marianna. Four months have passed and he has not received the letter. I had sent my sister Sophia Kopp a letter with 20 leis and she had not received it yet. (*Editor: Who would send money that way?) Now I’m afraid that the money is lost.
I send a greeting to our brother Jakob and ask him to give a sign of life through the Staats-Anzeiger. The same also applies to the brothers-in-law and our son-in-law Alexander and Theresia Becker in Brazil, who should also report how it is down there.
We are greeting the editor Mr. Brandt and all readers.
Ignatz and Klara Ihli
