Dear Staats-Anzeiger!
Faustina Maass, nee Huettel, wife of Magnus Maass died on 27 November at the age of 24 years after a long and serious illness. The deceased had been sickly since 1923, but she was still up and about until in 1930. At that time, she became bedridden and never made it back again. During her long illness, she was close to God and never complained. While being sick she received the holy last rites several times. Father Schurik presided over the funeral and delivered a heart-rending sermon. The deceased left her husband Magnus, one child and her old mother. This serves to inform her brother Edmund Huettel in Canada.
Mrs. Elisabetha Huettel is asking her son Edmund and wife and children in Canada to please come back home again as soon as possible. She still owns the house and the farmland. Magnus is still with her, but he thinks that he will leave her next summer. Then your mother will be alone. Your mother is of the opinion that you would do well on the land. She further says a house, farm and land without a child being around is no good. Your mother had to suffer a lot of misery, because almost all of her children died. She says that if you do not come back home then she will have no more joy in this world. Whenever one sees her she is crying. As soon as you return home with your family you can move into your father's house and take over the farm and continue operating it. She has mailed you the power of attorney you had requested in your letter, but since then she has not received a reply from you. From your letter she had also found out that you had been sick, which caused her a great deal of worry. The only child that Faustina left is also always sick. Your mother sends her sincere greetings to you, as well as to brother-in-law Daniel and wife Rosa.
Xaverius Maass would like to know if he could order the Staats-Anzeiger from here and pay for it with Rumanian currency.
Leonhard Plotzki from here asks his brother Johannes Plotzki in Canada to please order the Staats-Anzeiger for him for a whole year. Please Johannes, pay the Staats-Anzeiger for your brother so that he quits bothering me.

Zachaeus Kopp, son of Simon and Johannes Bogelowski are the two men who would like to take over and operate the dairy. I will report more on this matter later.
On the sick list are the following people: Anton Arnold; Sophia Mueller; Johannes Mueller, son of Karl and Karl’s wife; Monika Bernhard; Thomas Arnold, son of Reimund and Anna Mueller. These people are seriously ill.
Yes Rosa, your mother too is approaching her end. She is 74 years old and seriously ill.
