I herewith implore you to do me a favor and publish in your newspaper that I, Joseph Johannes Baumann, am searching for my son Mathias Joseph Baumann, who was missing in action during the war.
The last information about him I received through his comrade David Zeisler in 1916. At that time, he was a prisoner of war in Germany in the prison camp Schloss Holthausen near Buren.
I hope that once it is published in the Staats-Anzeiger that somebody knowing his whereabouts will come forward with some information. My address is: Rumania, Bessarabia, Post Office Kainari, Com. Emmental, Bessarabia.
