Dear Staats-Anzeiger!

For eight days now really cold weather has dominated here. This is clearly noticeable with the heaps of straw and piles of coal that constantly grow smaller.

My brother Egidius Harsche has been in Brazil now since 24 December 1925. I have written to him several times, but have not received an answer. Now I will try to reach him through the Staats-Anzeiger, which is being read all over the world.

I did read a report from him in Edition #51 of the esteemed paper. In the report, he had mentioned that he would move on. Therefore, I really don’t know about his address. Should Mr. Joseph Foeth read these lines, then I kindly ask him to report my brother’s address. For that I would be really grateful to you Mr. Foeth. As soon as he gives me his correct address, I will pay and subscribe to the Staats-Anzeiger for my brother for 1 year.

Furthermore, I greet my brothers Franz, Kaspar and Peter Harsche in Krasna, Bessarabia. Whoever is first to send a report to the Staats-Anzeiger will also receive the valued paper. They are hereby informed that we are still healthy.

I ask Uncle Anton Gedak to please continue to diligently write to the Staats-Anzeiger.

In closing, I wish all the readers and especially the editor Mr. Brandt a blessed
New Year.

Respectfully,
Nikolaus Harsche
