Dear Staats-Anzeiger!
In Cogealia, Georg Krieg has died at the age of 28 years after a long painful illness. In Colelia, not to be confused with our town Cogealia, Mathias Tuchscherer died at the age of 46 years.
The following couples were married here:
Johann Hueter, son of the deceased Ludwig Hueter married Rosina Stehr, daughter of Adolf Stehr from Cogealia.
Peter Ambrosinoff, son of the deceased Efim Ambrosinoff married Magdalena Serr, daughter of Peter Serr from Ebikoi.
Bonifaz Hoffahrt, son of Johannes Hoffahrt married Maria Aspenleiter, daughter of Joseph Aspenleiter.
Bonifaz Ternes, son of Edmond Ternes married Klara Friedrich, daughter of Johannes Friedrich.
Jakob Klatt, son of the deceased Christoph Klatt married Luise Hintz, daughter of Andreas Hintz from Mamuslia.
A certain Peter Loeb immigrated from Krasna, Bessarabia to America 28 years ago. His brother-in-law Johannes Hoffahrt and wife Brigitta, nee Loeb currently residing in Colelia near Cogealia ask for information about him. The old man Johann Karl has died of old age at 82 in Sarighiol. He had eaten the noon meal with a good appetite. In the afternoon, he started feeling bad and at 7 o’clock at night he was dead. This should serve as a notification to his brother Karl and his nephews, the Hensel brothers.
The new teacher here, Otto Jungfer, was engaged to Luise Tabakar, the daughter of Michael Tabakar.
In Tariwerde, a harsh fate hit the Fredrich Family. The old Mr. Christoph Fredrich died a month ago at the age of 80 years. At that time his son Martin was still in good health and nobody would have thought that he would follow his old father after one month. A son of Martin had become severely ill and was taken to a doctor. He was hanging between life and death for several days in the hospital in Konstanza. Because the doctor had little hope, the father (Martin) took his son home, where he was expected to die anytime soon. The grieving and a cold brought the strong man’s (Martin) life to an end at the age of 53. On the day of the funeral, his son did not know that his father was laid to rest.
I am letting Jakob Schikurski know that I did receive his letter. I was especially happy to find out that you enjoyed reading my reports. Now I know that my work was not for naught. I will also fulfill your wish and let you know something about your mother and brothers. Your mother lives with her son-in-law Viktor Maier who is married to your sister Regina. That is to say that she is living on the estate of the old Christian Meier. Samuel has established a residence on your estate. Friedrich lives in the old house. He is married to Lydia Lenz, a daughter of Daniel Lenz. Your grandmother Karolina Berg died two years ago at the age of 80.
Recently in Cogalai, Gottlieb Goehnert was very happy when his brother Jakob visited him from Kulm, North Dakota.
I am letting Johann Stelter know upon his request that his father is living with his granddaughter in Cogealac. He is very frail. A short time ago I had written a letter for him to you, which apparently you have not received. If you could provide him with a little assistance, he surely would be very grateful.

Dear Staats-Anzeiger!
Recently, I read a report in the Staats-Anzeiger by Isidor Leinz from Krasna, Bessarabia about which I was very happy. When we went to America, Mr. Leinz was trustee of our assets. After we arrived here, we sent him the power of attorney and he then sent us our money. For that we are grateful to him still today.
Mr. Leinz you are asking about your Aunt Barbara Schaefer. I have to inform you that she is resting in her grave for almost 10 years. Your Uncle Peter Schaefer then remarried to Helena Both, nee Brau. She now has been married for the third time.
Nikolaus Kahl, whom you are asking about, has been dead for almost 15 years. The rest of them are still alive. My parents are still healthy and all of our siblings are married. My parents who gave up farming live with my brother Lorenz.
The weather is very favorable for the growing of the field crops. It’s also raining just about every day.
Since 6 December 1926, my family and I live in Raleigh, where I own and operate a store. The people I do business with are satisfied.
Peter Loeb, his son Theodor and wife are planning to travel by car to Canada, where they will visit various friends.
Mr. Rochus Ternes drove by car to Bismarck last Sunday to visit his sister-in-law Filizia Plotzki, wife of Joseph Plotzki. She is hospitalized at St. Alexius with a serious illness. She had a stroke. This is to inform Michael Steier.
Further, I greet my old comrades Kaspar Gedak and Michael Riehl, as well as my godfather Erasmus Schreiber in Krasna, Bessarabia. I would like to nudge all of them in the ribs to have them write once again.
