Letter to Editor: Krasna, Bessarabia
18 April 1928
Dear Editor:
Thank you for allowing me to send in this report for publication. I would be delighted to be a permanent reporter for your paper.
This past week most of the farmers have finished their fieldwork, but things do not look so good. We have had a terrible storm for the past three days, which did much damage. It took roofs off houses, and the farmers had to come home, as they could not work in such weather. It began to snow on April 14, but that did not last long.
The family of Joseph and Barbara Furch, the daughter of Paul Kraft from Baden, are sending this message to Mr. Goldade in Selz. Please send word of brother-in-law Joseph, son of Ludwig Fahn in Selz. They are also trying to locate her brothers, Franz Joseph and Martin Kraft.
They also report that their stepfather, who was 81, has died on March 20, 1928. The mother is 69 now, and of ill health. Greetings to their relatives, especially Uncle Johannes Furch in Selz, who should write more frequently.
Best regards to all readers.
Joseph Braun
