Dear Editor Mr. Brandt!

In my letter I do not want to forget the officials of our village administration, because they are distinguished people. The senior mayor is Thaddaeus Deichert; the village mayor is Peter Joh. [Johannes] Gross Sr. The cattle warden is Zachaeus Fenrich and Joseph J. Mueller is the spertschick. (?) We have two sextons; Magnus Seifert and Kaspar Seifert.

We do not have a priest. A priest comes to the village every third week and conducts church services. If this priest would live in the village then I would mention him by name, but this way there is no need for it. I just mentioned the officials that work and live here.

As new correspondent, I greet all readers and the editor Mr. Brandt.
