Esteemed Staats-Anzeiger!

Today, I have to inform you with a sad heart that recently fate has hit us very hard. Three weeks ago, a dear daughter took ill with a horrible disease, namely a brain inflammation (Meningitis), which literally tormented her to death. She had to give up her soul on 23 August. She had reached the age of 9 years and 4 months.

Yesterday, we laid her to rest and today we still feel paralyzed, not so much because of our loss, but more so because of the terrible suffering the child had to endure. (*Editor: Dear Friend, we express our sincere condolences – may God comfort you and your family.)

Beyond that, things are the same here. The corn harvest will be plentiful. However, the prices for grain are still dropping.

The Staats-Anzeiger arrives on time. More next time.

With greeting,
Isidor Leinz
