Dear Staats-Anzeiger!
We are greeting our brother-in-law Joseph and Mrs. Hittel along with their children in Canada. We thank them very much for the nice present of the Staats-Anzeiger, which they have sent to us. We also received the beautiful and full calendar. We were happy that you, dear brother-in-law, have not forgotten about us. We also received two letters this week about which we were also very happy. In one of them we found two pictures.
We harvested 63 mass of wheat and 82 mass of barley. (1 mass = 20 kg)
Mother is also greeting you heartily and she thanks you for everything.
The health conditions leave much to be desired. Many people run a fever.
Rochus and the children are still healthy.
