ROMUALD DIRK

With a saddened heart we read yesterday, Monday, the sad news sent to us by Mr.Sebastian Moser in Balmas, Bessarabia that Mr. Romuald Dirk our old friend and correspondent for the Staats-Anzeiger passed away in Balmas on 29 March after a lingering illness. The deceased has many friends and acquaintances among the readers who will certainly be grieved hearing the information. The pen of our old friend and correspondent will rest forever.

Besides his wife, he left as next of kin one son, who at the time of his father’s death was at home; he has two sons in the Soviet Russia and four daughters. Two of the daughters live in the “Banat” in Rumania and two daughters Amalia and Eugenia live in North Dakota. This is to inform all of them of their father’s death.

We want to express our condolences to all of them. May the perpetual light shine upon our old friend and may he rest in peace!
