Dear Staats-Anzeiger!

On 6 February, the following couples were married here:
Theobald Blotzki, son of Telisfor married Agnes Nagel, daughter of Mathias Nagel.

Joseph Miller, son of Alexander Miller married Josephina Loeb, daughter of Raphael Loeb.

I am able to give Johannes Blotzki in Saskatchewan, Canada the following answer to his question. Your stepmother Elisabetha lives here in Emmental. At first she lived with her son Stolanus Rueckert, where she didn’t last very long. After that she went to live with her son-in-law Ignatius Gross where she is still today. The woman has to put up with a lot during her old age.

I enjoy reading the travel reports from the editor Mr. Brandt. It is a pity that they wouldn’t let you, Editor Brandt, into Bessarabia. Otherwise, we might have been lucky to meet you in person. I received the letter and the 676 lei. Thank you very much!

Unfortunately, I have to bring you sad news, which involves me. I have to inform our friends that the Lord over life and death has taken our 2-year old daughter from us. She had been sickly all her life. With a smile on her face she passed away.

(*Editor: You have to order the book from L. Heumann & Co. in Nuremburg, Germany.)

As far as I know there is no one on the sick list, but the following people died: Edmund Nagel and Theresia Gross. May the perpetual light shine upon them!

Now my dear friends in America order the Staats-Anzeiger for your relatives who live here. The Staats-Anzeiger arrives here very regularly. You would bring them great joy.

Adam Seifert
