Dear Staats-Anzeiger!
Four men departed the City of Lins to buy geese and chickens there. The four were brothers-in-law Anselmus Wagner and D. Nagel; further, there were Paulus Bauer and Anselmus Riehl. (Note: The rest of the story is about how they bought the birds, had some alcohol, and on their way home were separated and lost in a thunderstorm. They finally made it home at different times.)
We send a hello to all our friends in Krasna, Bessarabia, and Emmental, especially to brother-in-law Paul Lipp along with wife and children. We have not received any mail since January.
We also greet Adam Seifert in Emmental and thank him for his reports, which we love to read very much. Not to forget our friends farther to the north, namely in Canada, we say hello to Anna Moldenhauer, sister Elisabetha and brother Elias along with their mother. We very much love to read the reports by Anna. In closing, we greet the editor Mr. Brandt. We remain yours,
Anton Weber and
Wife Genofeva, nee Nagel
