We are healthy here and the weather is nice and mild. We had two or three snowfalls, but the sun always melted it away. The nice weather saves the farmer on fodder and fuel.
Last week, my brother Johannes bought five horses for $600, three workhorses, a two-year-old and a yearling foal, and so he will farm his own land next year. Brother Johannes, brother-in-law Michael Engel and I were in the bush hunting recently. We left at sunrise and came home by noon with 87 rabbits. We enjoy this kind of hunting here!
Peter Götz and family arrived here in Maple Creek happy and healthy.
