Valued Staats-Anzeiger!

Yesterday I received a letter from my mother-in-law. We are happy that everything is still in order there.

The weather here is quite wet. We already had a lot of snow. The ground was covered by about one foot. But now it has already melted. Yesterday it rained again. That would certainly be good for the ground, but less pleasant for those who still have to thresh.

The health condition in our area is quite good as far as I know.

Several families from here immigrated to Oregon to make a better living. That is what they are hoping for.

In closing I am sincerely greeting my friends and acquaintances as well as the editorship.

Respectfully,
Joseph Hittel
