Worthy Editorship!

By means of the columns of the Staats-Anzeiger, I would like to send a friendly greeting to my brother-in-law Elias Maas and his family and to my brother-in-law Joseph Mueller and his family in Emmental.

You write that we wrote to you not to come. We would like for you to be here already. Joseph has written and asked his parents to return to Rumania. Both of you wrote in August that you are doing well and that you can make a living, and that we should not worry about you. That is when the parents said immediately that they would not come now, even though we are writing for you to come. But if you care to come then please do come. You will not get lost if you should come.

I am asking Zachaeus to immediately inform you about this and to send us your precise address. We already have written several times, but it appears that the letters never did arrive. The parents did receive the letter from Elias that he had written in January.

Respectfully,
Bernhard Ehli
