Worthy Editorship!
Herewith I am reporting to my brother Elias that I received his letter dated 23 February. That was the first letter in 10 years. The two letters he is writing about and the money he mailed last year in September, I have not yet received. He is being asked to inquire and have the money sent to the Rumanian “Volksbank” in Kischinev, Bessarabia with my name on it.
I am also telling him thank you for ordering the Staats-Anzeiger for me.
I am greeting him heartily and also the readers.

Worthy Editorship!
I am asking Mr. Anton Gedak to give me some information about my cousin Klemens Bachmeier and if he is still alive.
I was interested in what Romuald Dirk wrote about the distribution of the land. I believe that the rich people don’t like it that their land should be given to the people without land. Then they will have to work also, while up until now they have lived off of the work of others who were leasing their land.
I really don’t see why some people should have it better than others. The rich people have always been very proud and have ordered the poor people around. One should not judge a human being by what he owns but rather by what he does. It is really no feat to show off one’s possessions, which one has not bought and created oneself.
I take my hat off to a man who has worked diligently. The bible also says whoever does not work shall not eat.
Now I wish the rich people lots of luck. They now can no longer eat the bread of idleness, but have to work themselves. “To move brings blessings.”
We are almost done with the seeding, particularly because we have favorable weather. There is also enough moisture so that the seed can come up.
With a greeting,
Fabian Hartmann.
