Worthy Editorship!

The harvest this year was very bad in our area and some people didn’t even get enough to do their seeding.

I had the bad luck of breaking my right foot, so that I had to work on crutches for 2 months. But now I am pretty much back to normal. I am thankful to Heinrich Herniger, who lives 16 miles north of Burt, for his skillful efforts to put my foot back into the best of order.

The weather is quite harsh and windy. There is a lot of quarreling among the people, because of the upcoming recall election. Everyone knows best and at the end everyone works for his own position and we have to pay.
