Our father is asking you to write again sometime. In case that Elias Seifert is not a reader of this paper, we are asking his neighbors to let him read these lines.

Denisius Dirk in Canada writes that he has not had a sign of life from his father Melchior Dirk. Denisius, your father has written eight letters to you. Obviously, he doesn’t have your correct address.

This is to inform you that both of your sisters are working as servants. Armelia works for Alexander Nagel and Apolonia for our secretary Wolodia Kasakow. Both have good employers.

Your parents are very poor. Your father has not been able to repay the money he borrowed for your trip to America. He can barely pay the interest.
