Dear Staats-Anzeiger:

Not long ago I received a letter from Krasna, Bessarabia in which it was stated that Peter Speicher had died. This should serve as a notification for friends Peter, Magnus, and Anton Seifert and families, as well as for the widow Ottilia Kopp in North America. He left behind his deeply saddened wife Katharina and six children, five daughters and one son, who are all married.

A bitter hurt he us gave,
We who stand beside your grave.
So gently rest in eternal peace then,
For once we shall meet again…

I greet the following friends: Lorenz Fenrich and family, Markus Fenrich and family, Joseph Fenrich and family, and Johannes Fenrich and family.

On 4 March, I wrote letters to Lorenz and Markus. Until now I have not received an answer.

Further, I also greet Isidor Leinz in Krasna, Bessarabia and ask him to please let us hear from him more often in the Staats-Anzeiger.

In closing, I greet the entire reader’s circle and also the editor, Mr. Brandt.

Alexius Fenrich
