Dear Staats-Anzeiger!

Kaspar Seifert, Xaveri and Emilia Maass left for Caramurat in the Dobrudscha on 23 December. Hopefully, they arrived there on Christmas Eve. Now the people in Caramurat have guests from Emmental over the holidays. I would like to ask the correspondent from Caramurat to let me know through the newspaper if the two men introduced themselves properly. Xaveri Maass is our mayor and Kaspar is my brother. These gentlemen intend to raise money there for our church.

New elections will take place in our village this week. I will write about the results in my next report.

The dairy was assigned to Zachaeus Kopp. He settled the contract with the community at 5%.

Melchior Dirk from here would like to have some information of the where abouts of his son Dionisius Dirk and how same is doing. Maybe Joseph Mueller in Canada can provide some information about him.

Markus Moldenhauer has moved to Valartan, a village inhabited by Russians. He took over the operation of the dairy there. His annual income is 25,000 leis.

Katharina Kopp, wife of Emil Kopp has undergone surgery. She is now back home and on the road to recovery.

I haven’t heard anything more from Rochus Paul. I will bring more news next time.

With a greeting,
Adam Seifert
