I regret that Mr. Anton Dirk has left us and moved to Canada. Well, good people are always in demand. I have read that he is teaching children now. Diligence, Anton!
Our old church custodian, Hyronimus Brückner, traveled to see the doctor, as he has not been well. During his absence, Mr. Schreiber took his place. Some mistakes were made, but Mr. Schreiber did manage quite well overall. We are praying for the happy and healthy return of our custodian.
We returned in good health from the outing to the church dedication festival, but cousin Caezilie found her husband at home sick. He is well again now. Greetings to my mother in Krasna, South Russia, brother-in-law David and sister Mathilde Löb. I have not received a response to my letter and would like to know if they subscribe to the Staats-Anzeiger. (*Publisher: Yes, Mr. Löb is a reader.)
Greetings to Uncle Johannes Kopp and family in Richardton! Greetings to my brothers Simon, Nikolaus and Michael Engel and their families, brother-in-law Michael and sister Katharina Hinz and all the readers of this publication.
