Just so my friends in Rumania aren’t thinking I’m lazy in writing, I will drop a few lines.
Today we are lucky to have a priest among us. When the mass started our cantor unfortunately had misplaced his songbook. When he wanted to pray the litany, he could not find that one either. But after a lengthy search he got it into his hands after all.
About the harvest here, I can only report that it looks very sad. But we will have enough for bread and seed. The wheat is bad since we haven’t had any soaking rain as yet this year. Tomorrow I intend to start mowing.
I send greetings to my brother-in-law PhilipWagner and family. Please write more often. Likewise, I forward greetings to my brother and all brothers-in-law in Rumania and to my mother-in-law and brother-in-law in Emmental, South Russia.
