Worthy Staats-Anzeiger!

I am very happy that the readers are corresponding to the Staats-Anzeiger so diligently. It is definitely the best paper that one can have. You can find everything in this paper you want to know anything about. You can also find out how you can once again write to your old homeland, about which the Staats-Anzeiger has published many reports by correspondents from there. Every German should have such a newspaper. Then they would also realize that they have a good newspaper.

I would really like to find something from Krasna in the paper, and would like to challenge the correspondents from there to write just as diligently as before the war.

(*Editor: You probably have read the report from Krasna in the meantime.) We will then order the Staats-Anzeiger for you, so that you will at least know that you have a good newspaper.

I would really like to know if my sister-in-law Amalia Erker is still alive. Maybe someone from Krasna could give me that information.

With a friendly greeting,
Mathias Kuntz

Worthy Editorship!

I accidentally got the Staats-Anzeiger into my hands and found in it so much from Bessarabia and our neighboring villages; however I did not find anything from Krasna. But since one promised to write diligently from there, I would like to secure the newspaper for myself right away. Enclosed I am sending the amount for one year. Now I would like to ask the editor if the Staats-Anzeiger is also read in Krasna. (*Editor: Yes, and very diligently.)

I still have an old mother and three siblings there and have not heard from them in five years even though I have written several letters to them. If the Staats-Anzeiger is now sent to Krasna, I would like to ask the readers to greet my relatives, if they are still alive.
