Dear Staats-Anzeiger!

My neighbor Josef Gross butchered two pigs today. I am going to do the same tomorrow.

The following couples are getting married. It has already been publicly announced. Philipp Gedak, son of Georg (Katarin’s husband) will marry Appolonia Gross, daughter of Rochus. Josef Nagel, son of Matthias will marry Emilie Gross, daughter of Kaspar. Kaspar Seifert, son of Johannes will marry Julia Maas, daughter of Polykarpus.

If now my old neighbor Mr. Josef Mueller from Kingsford were here, then we certainly would have a nice conversation during the wedding dinner. Why do you write so little? We really enjoy reading your reports.

Our village is making nice advancements. One says you start small and end big. We don’t have cars yet, but we already have 5 bicycles in the village. They belong to Aloysius Teichert, Alexander Fendrich, son of Zachaeus, secretary Chasapoff, Raphael Gedak and Andreas Bleile, son of Josef. When they ride their bikes or rather race with them then everything has to get out of the way, or else get run over.

Recently, our cow herdsman was run over, because he probably didn’t get out of the way fast enough.

Zachaeus Kopp would like to know if his brother Wendelin Kopp is still alive or if he died from his illness. One should report it in the Staats-Anzeiger.

Leonhard Blotzki is asking his brother Johannes Blotzki for the Staats-Anzeiger. He would be very grateful and would send reports on and off.

Eugenius Seifert is also asking his brothers to send him the Staats-Anzeiger, especially Johannes. Dear Johannes, don’t wait, and give your brother a Christmas present. He thanks you in advance.

The worthy Staats-Anzeiger arrives here regularly and is enjoyed by the people in the village. The travel reports by Editor Brandt, Mr. Ignatius Schneider and Mr. Johann Kessler were very interesting. Such reading materials are very educational for the readers and are always welcome.

The health conditions are satisfactory. There are no particular sicknesses among the people. David Dirk and Johannes Bauer are the only ones on the sick list.
