Dear Staats-Anzeiger!

Last week I received a letter from Alexius Riehl in Krasna in which he asked the administration of the village to mail a list of farmers who need to borrow money. For that purpose Emmental is supposed to receive 300,000 lei. Pastor Haase from Tarutino has received 60,000,000 lei as a loan from Germany, which now is to be distributed among the Germans in Bessarabia. Mr. Riehl writes that we should be getting the money on

1 January. Mr. Editor Brandt, I just received your worthy letter. Many thanks for that!

Marianna Gross, nee Buse is looking for her two brothers Rudolf and Paul Buse, who live somewhere in America. Should they read these lines they are asked to mail her their addresses.

Daniel Kopp is sending a greeting to his war comrade Ferdinand Vetter in Selz, Soviet Russia. Would Mr. Usselmann perhaps be so kind and relay this greeting to him.

Stanislaus Rueckert is on the sick list. He is seriously ill.

Since my last report, the following old people have died. Johannes Bauer died at the age of 66 years. My father-in-law David Dirk died at the age of 73 years on 4 December of this year. This is to inform his brother Daniel Dirk in Elardee, Sask., Canada. May the perpetual light shine upon him!

I am greeting all readers, as well as the editor Mr. Brandt.

Respectfully,
Adam Seifert
