Dear Staats-Anzeiger!

I do not get a reply to my repeated writing to my brother-in-law Joseph and sister Klara in Canada. Now I will try to receive some news from them through the Staats-Anzeiger, which is read near and far. They should be informed that we are still alive and well. We do not have to go hungry yet. However, we have to limit ourselves very much, because times are difficult.

You are further informed that Alexander has received the letter with the pictures. From this letter, I also have found that Mr. Friedolinus Riehl wants to send me an American-German newspaper and wants to know which paper I would like. Of course, I would prefer the Staats-Anzeiger. It arrives twice a week on time and always brings us the majority of news from all parts of the world, namely from America and Russia.

Therefore, if Mr.Riehl would like to send me an American newspaper, then I would be very grateful if he would subscribe the Staats-Anzeiger for me from the editor Mr. Brandt.

My neighbor Adam Seifert and other people in our village receive the Staats-Anzeiger on time and all are very satisfied with it. If Mr. Riehl is not a reader of the Staats-Anzeiger, then I ask his neighbors to please draw his attention to these lines. Maybe my brother-in-law Joseph will do that. Mr. Riehl, my sincere thanks to you in advance.

My brother David and brother-in-law Magnus Kopp bought an oil mill for 32,000 lei. They set it up in David’s yard and are now hard at work.

Zelestinus Loeb works in the community dairy. Mathilda Seifert and her children work in the Jew’s dairy.

Eugenius Seifert is seriously ill. This is to inform his friends in America.
