Dear Staats-Anzeiger!

Unfortunately, I have some bad news for you today. Uncle Anton Gedak, the Staats-Anzeiger correspondent for many years, died of pneumonia on 3 April. Today, 5 April, he was taken to his grave. (*Editor: This information has certainly put all people and us from Krasna, into deep mourning. We are sending our condolences to all relatives.) His health had not been good for a long time. He often complained about shortness of breath, but he was always full of life and neither he nor anyone else thought that his end was so near. A few days ago, he caught a cold, but he thought of it as unimportant. He never thought much about medication either. After a few days, his condition became worrisome. The doctor who was called confirmed extreme danger, since besides the sick lungs and heart, he was also very weak. Sure enough after a few hours he was already dead. He was 68 years old. His wife, son-in-law, several grandchildren and many friends are mourning for him.

Repose to his ashes and peace to his soul!

During the last few days Theobald Winter, son of Timotheus Winter, has also died due to a cold. He was 20 years old.

I am sending greetings to everyone.

Isidor Leinz
