Dear Editor Brendel:
The weather here is indifferent and the soil is frozen to a depth of 4 Werschock. It looks like a change is coming though because all is fragrant. The grain prices have sunk alarmingly. Barley is only worth 33 Lei, rapeseed 80 Lei/Pud. Most of it is sold already though.
We had a community meeting on January 22. We were informed that by April 15, all money had to be deposited at the Volks Bank from where it would go into the Federal Bank. We have no idea where people could come up with the required deposit money. Especially, since our need for money is already 50% higher than it was last year. We will hope for the best.
The wife of Michael Ritz and old Mathias Fenrich both suffered strokes and are very ill. Klemens Spitznagel is also very sick.
Weddings: Max Harsche and Anna Haag, the daughter of Anton Haag. – Erasmus Boot, son of Alexander Boot and the daughter of Heinrich Winter, Philomena. – Gottlieb Riehl, son of the late Lorenz Riehl and the daughter of Basilius Steiert, Theresia. – Mathias Winter, son of Balser Winter and the daughter of Leopold Seifert, Veronika. – Joseph Riehl, son of the late Heinrich Riehl and the daughter of Eustachius Wagner, Katharina. Best of luck to all these young couples!
We have hired Edmund Gansky as church custodian for 3,000 Lei/Mo. He also teaches the religious studies in school.
Greetings to the editor and staff, and all readers. (Photo with article)

We move on toward the back, toward the gravel pit. On the corners are the mill cottages, next to the brick factory of Isidor Leinz and Johannes Herrschaft, Franz Dirk and Korbinian Leinz.
Now to the other side:
Now back and up the Gerade Strasse (Straight Street)
This brings us to the upper corner, then back to Schigorgasse.
