Dear Staats-Anzeiger!

I want to report the death of Nikolaus Schaefer who died on 25 March at the age of 75 years. This serves to inform his son Georg Schaefer in Brazil, South America.

I further greet my old comrade and neighbor Anton Soehn and his family in Canada.

I had some bad luck. On 5 February, one of my horses and two foals died. They were valued at 10,000 lei. Again on 25 April, another one of my horses died valued at 6,000 lei. With this happening I ended up in total poverty, but I am still content.

In closing, I greet all my friends and acquaintances in America and also the dear editorship and all the readers.

Albertus Ternes, son of Georg Ternes married Veronika Matery, daughter of Philipp Matery.
Korbinian Riehl, son of Lauretius Riehl married Paulina Volk, daughter of Raphael Volk.
Valentin Gansky, son of Edmund Gansky married Susanna Both, daughter of Johannes Both.
Deonisius Soehn, son of Karl Soehn married Regina Schlick, daughter of Klemens Schlick.
Anton Ternes, son of Adam Ternes married Elisabetha Speicher, daughter of Anton Speicher.
Widower Gabriel Riehl married Romula Speicher, daughter of Rosa Speicher.
Widower Reimund Schaefer married Eufenia Dressler, daughter of Romanus Dressler.
Widower Peter Bachmeier married Klara Wagner, daughter of Joseph Wagner.

Unfortunately, I also have to report some sad news. Albinus Fenrich recently died of consumption. He had suffered from this disease for two years. He was 55 years old. This should serve to inform the friends in America.

The current health conditions are satisfactory. The flu among the people has declined.

I send a friendly greeting to Uncle Heinrich Ternes in Brazil. I have read his report in the Staats-Anzeiger with great joy. The money that is still owed to you, you will probably have to give up as lost. I will give you more details on this matter by letter.

I have also read with joy the report by Markus Fenrich in Canada. I relayed the greeting to brother Timodaeus. He thanks you very much. He is doing okay. He, as well as all the rest of the people, is short on money. He will write to you as soon as he has your correct address. With this opportunity he says hello to all his brothers in Canada and asks them for a sign of life.

I also greet my old friend and neighbor Anton A. Soehn in Canada. In closing, I send a greeting to the editor Mr. Brandt and to his assistant and also to all readers.
