Nevertheless, probably as soon as the colonists arrived in September 1814, they were admitted to their colony, although only a few settlers were able to move to Krasna immediately because the designated plots were not free.

Regarding the procedure of assigning the settlement place to the colonists, Albert Mauch writes: “In most cases, the settlement districts had already been demarcated before the colonists arrived, and the boundaries of the individual areas and… also of the villages had already been marked out, surveyed, and numbered. Now, if a group arrived under the leadership of an agent, it was given the right to choose for itself the place of settlement.”

This is probably how it was done with the Krasna pioneers, because teacher Eduard Ruscheinsky says: “Upon their arrival, our ancestors were given three localities to choose from, namely:

1. Our present land parcel at Kogälnik,(No.7).
2. The land of Kulm,(No.2)
3. The land of Hoffnungstal,(No.9).

Our ancestors chose the location No. 7, on the steppe river Kogälnik.
In 1822 the land parcel 7 was divided. 7a remained Krasna, 7b became Katzbach.
